Graduated Cylinder - used to measure liquids; check the scale between numbers given to determine what each mark is worth; in this example, there are 10 marks between 15 and 25; 5 divided by 10 = 0.5; since the bottom of the liquid is halfway between the 15.5 mL and 16 mL marks, there is 15.75 mL of liquid. [Be sure to read the liquid at its lowest point or bottom of the miniscus.]
